Tropical Cyclone " Debbie" impacts service in the Central Coast-Whitsundays District, parts of the Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Highlands, Coal Fields, and Capricornia Districts of Queensland

Dear Patron,

We are working to reduce damages to services impacted due to "Severe Weather Events" " in Queensland and its districts. Increasing instances of Faulty Services are being reported because of the considerable damages to our network resulting in interruptions and breaks, causing delays in repairs and restoration.

Our apologies to affected customers as these circumstances are beyond our control. Due to the extensive damages incurred, it may not be possible to repair and restore all services within standard timeframes. As we proceed to assess the full extent of the Severe Weather Events, inoperative services may increase/decrease as part of the aftermath. While Repairs and restoration happen over the next couple of weeks, we thank all our customers in advance for their patience and understanding and regret the inconvenience caused.

These circumstances being outside our control we are claiming an exemption from compliance with time frames required under the Telecommunications (Customer Service Guarantee) Standard 2011. We explicitly notify that normal service periods may not be met during the period from 27 March 2017 to 7 May 2017.
